This paper describes an experiment that confirmed a theory that milkfish fry can be caught by a special gear operated at depths beyond the reach of fishermen using indigenous gear for catching milkfish fry. How the gear was designed and constructed is also described and illustrated. Observations and results are discussed. The experiment proved that milkfish fry could be caught by a floating trawl towed by a motorized banca.
