Plankton samples were collected from 91 stations during an oceanographic fishery survey off the eastern part of Luzon Island, covering the region from the coasts of Quezon-Bicol up to lat. 15020’ N. as the northern boundary and long. 124030’ E. as the eastern boundary. The zooplankton volume (wet) per unit are varied greatly. The standing crop was very low in the eastern part of the region surveyed. The zooplankton composition was heterogeneous. The density distribution was characterized by more or less isolated patches.
