Journal impact and reach

TPJF aims to be a platform to advance the impact of Philippine fisheries research globally. TPJF ensures that your work is visible to a global network of researchers, practitioners, policymakers, media outlets, and the wider public.

While we are a relatively new scientific journal, revived in 2017, we've achieved significant milestones in a short period, including being successfully indexed in Scopus within our first five years. You may check out TPJF’s Journal Impact Factor through our Scopus profile and Scimago journal and country ranking.

In accordance with its responsibilities outlined in R.A. 8550 Section 85, the NFRDI functions as the central “repository of all fisheries researches and scientific information”. This role involves collecting, maintaining, and providing access to comprehensive information on fisheries to support research, policymaking, and sustainable management practices.

The TPJF website is becoming a prominent hub for fisheries research, attracting approximately 68,000 visits annually, including 18,000 new users from around 140 countries. It hosts 308 openly accessible articles, which are also promoted through the Journal’s social media accounts on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), reaching a combined following of about 7,500.

By publishing in TPJF, you are not just publishing your research; you are contributing to a growing platform that will have a significant impact on the future of fisheries research worldwide.
