The National Fisheries Research and Development Institute (NFRDI), an attached agency of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the primary research arm of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), is committed to do the following:

Nurture and empower the fishery sector through timely and credible scientific information and technologies;

Fulfill good governance principles, specifically in compliance with DA and BFAR policies and other relevant statutory requirements;

Reinforce strategic partnerships and communication linkages;

Deliver quality training and knowledge management system; and,

Improve continually the Quality Management System, leading to enhanced R&D, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
