As of December 2020, NFRDI personnel complement has 242 in total, where 93 are permanent positions with five co-terminus to the incumbent and 179 contract of service.

During the ceremony, Sec. Dar emphasized the vital role of NFRDI’s research and development thrust in building and ensuring sustainable fisheries in the country. The DA chief also bared his plans in putting up NFRDI research headquarters, including laboratories outside Metro Manila, to improve services.

Additionally, USec. Caballero encouraged everyone to serve with the utmost integrity and “spread out and see how their competencies can be put at best in the service of the community.”
