Abstract
This paper presents information on the biology of Saurida tumbil, which includes distribution, age and rate of growth, maturity, food, sex ratios and spawning. The study showed that the decline in catch per unit of effort for 1956 to 1957 in the trawl fisher y was the result of natural causes.
