NFRDI-NFBC Held Groundbreaking Ceremony for its Administration and Laboratory Buildings
NFBC, Taal, Batangas. To set another milestone in the Instittute’s endeavor towards an effective, relevant and responsive Philippine fisheries research and development, NFRDI’s Interim Executive Director Drusila Esther E. Bayate led the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Construction of Administration and Laboratory Buildings of NFRDI-NFFRDC at Taal, Batangas together with NFFRDC Center Chief Maria Theresa Mutia, CFRDD Chief Elsa Furio, ARDD Chief Salvacion Ferrer, TED Chief Mudjekeewis Santos, COA Auditor Anabel Mansilla, Mr. Edward Alvarez of LGU-Taal , Mayor Samuel Noel of LGU-San Luis, Engr. Mike Nepomuceno of F.A. Nepomuceno Construction and Development, Inc. and Eng. Rolando Paule of A.C. Ong Consulting, Inc. on January 11, 2018. The ceremony was also attended by NFRDI personnel from various Divisions, NFBC staff, BFAR Main Office staff, Taal LGU- Staff, and San Luis LGU-Staff.
Prior to the groundbreaking ceremony, a Eucharistic Mass and blessing of the site were initiated by Rev. Fr. Dexter Mojares. The two buildings will cater to the growing needs of the Center for improved research facilities to deliver more efficient and quality researches for the fisheries industry. The construction of the buildings, which started in July 26, 2017 is expected to be completed by the end of July 2018.
